Mud Wrestling

Friday night and Saturday have been quite interesting.

Friday night Michael decided that he absolutely had to go to Berk's house to hang out with Sean, even if it meant bicylcing from my parent's house all the way there at 9 o'clock at night in the dark, and coming back the same way a mere 2-3 hours later. I was so bored and fed up of being in the house and not seeing my friends that I said I would go too.

My parents of course threw a terrible hissy fit, touting warnings about our eminent death-by-car on the side of the road. We left anyway, just that much more determined.

It wasn't an easy ride, especially since I had to ride my brother's boy-designed bike that had weird downward-facing handle-bars and a very uncomfortable seat. All in all it was probably set up a bit too short for me, and it hadn't been used in quite awhile. It took maybe an hour, with some arguing between Michael and I inbetween, and my trailing behing a bit slower with a thoroughly sore ass, back and thighs. My butt still hurts x_x

Anyway, we made it. Michael and Sean drank some beer. Sean and I drank some Rum....I find it hard for me to want to drink to the point of even getting buzzed though....I have to be in a very particular mood, so I only had maybe 3 shots worth or less. Sean and Michael smoked some....Michael tried to convince me to try it again but I said no thanks of course. Michael ended up face down in the front yard "detoxing" while Sean and I fell asleep on the couch.

It was around 10 in the morning when we finally all decided to wake up. Everyone else was already at work on the farm so we rode the bicycles down to Starbucks on Sheldon and Hillsborough to try out my free, newly arrived $25 gift card. The three of us riding around like that reminded me of summer vacations when I was 10 and kids still played outside. After chilling there a little whiles, we headed back in the mid-day heat and sat on the porch playing with the stray kitten Sean and Berk found and brought home to fatten up. Sean named him Sebastian, and Berk insisted he was a gay cat and dubbed him "Sebastian the Fag" much to everyone's amusement and befuzzlement. Sean did not approve. The farm hippies congregated over for lunch-time and the three of us walked over to the Shell station to nurish the boys' nicotine addiction.

On the way back from the gas station we walked across the street to the farm and Sean led us to the muck that was supposed to be a creek-type body of water leading out to the rest of a river where there dangled a swinging rope from a tree branch up above. Sean gave it a go and ended up almost falling into the mud, and promptly took off his shoes after my example. Michael remained stubborn on the subject and went for a go, losing his balance a bit and returning barefoot, both of his once white shoes slowly sinking into the mud much to our amusement. Sean swung over and managed to reach down and pull one out, but when Michael went to retrieve the other shoe, he lost his balance again and fell forward, his hands sinking a good half a foot into the mud too! XD It was pretty damn funny. I tried to swing, but wasn't very good at it since I'd never done it before. Maybe if they tie a wooden plank to it to step or sit on...

So, we walked back to Berk's place and hosed off in the deliciously cold water and watched part of an Eddy Izzard DVD before going to U-Save and Little Ceasar's for a large pizza to share. All in all, Michael and I didn't make it back home until about 9pm. We eagerly showered and scrubbed, wondering how Sean can go what seems like days without a good shampooing and clean clothes >_>;

I had a free movie ticket so we went to see The Bucket List with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nickolson (sp?) which was a good movie, but bittersweet at the end. If anything, there was some gorgeous scenery from locations around the world. We came home and played with Cocoa a little bit, took her for a walk, and got to bed as soon as possible for work the next day, but we were achey and tossed and turned a lot on the tiny Twin-sized bed we now have to sleep on, and Michael's elbow in my face for the 10th time was enough for me to freak out and take the couch instead >_<
