Zippity Doo Daa

I thought I should give a bit of an update on the apartment situation. Michael and I decided that the nicer, and much cheaper, apartments at Hunter's Run right behind the Super Wal-Mart and the Wendy's I work at would be worth the wait to get. He came and went for the week before and got the job at RadioShack in the Citrus Park Mall. And he'll be under consideration for the Assistant Manager position to boot. I have the applications and the $250 in application fees and holding fees in money orders for the apartment, we just need to wait for Michael's wallet, which he left up in Maine and is being mailed to him, so that we can make copies of our driver's licenses and we're basically set. Just have to turn everything in, and we'll most likely be accepted. Especially since we did an experiment and applied at a more expensive apartment complex and were approved, albeit with a deposit of one months rent. But that was to be expected.

The only downside to this apartment is that they tell you there's a waiting list and that you may not be moved in until Febuary possibly. But on the other hand, the woman told us about a guy who had applied about two weeks ago and was about to move in. It's alright though, because having this extra time will give us the chance to save up more money and move in when a bit more financially secure. Yany's grandmother is going to hook Michael up with a room/mini apartment to live in, in the meantime, since he can't stay at my house. Not to mention that would have been quite awkward to begin with.

So there you go. A minor set back, but actually a better foot hold to set up to. There's always a flipside to things, ya know?

I'll write about Massachusetts a little later, with pictures of course!
