Toot, toot! All aboard!

Things are going well, I can tell. I sat down and randomly drew something, from start to finish, that's more than a funky stupid sketch, and I haven't done that in months, possibly edging on years. It's weird, but I love it because I gave birth to it after so long.

I started school today. I have at the moment, pending any schedule changes, one class every day Monday through Saturday. Except for Friday, where I have two. I will be working 4 hours a day Sunday through Thursday, as well. Today I had Creative Writing. I tried taking this class at USF (twice actually), and although I liked the old cooky professor, it wasn't enough to motivate me to get to his class, along with the others. I only produced one piece of writing, which the professor really liked, and said showed a lot of promise, I just needed a little more grooming. I'm going to dig that short story up (one of the only short stories I've even been able to produce thus far, so I'm proud of it) and see what my new professor, Mrs. Kim, thinks of it. She's a young and pretty Korean woman who is fairly candid and likes to let the student's creative process do its stuff without too much pushing. We chose if and when we do any of the writing assignments she offers us, as long as we get at least some pieces work-shopped in class, and we have all the required assignments to compile into our Final Portfolio. This is good for me, because sometimes writing or doing anything creative takes me a little while to push it out entirely.

I'm also signed up for Math for Liberal Arts (Dear God not again!!!! I am like a hawk waiting and waiting for some people to drop the College Algebra classes that are full to the brim so that I might gleefully switch.), Modern American History (I really don't like American History, I like European better, but I have to take it pretty much at some point, and I'll learn some stuff that I should probably know more about that I don't, I hope.), and 4 weeks of Art Appreciation (An easy A...). I think I'm going to do well this semester, finally.
